Australian and New Zealand
Salvation Jane brings a touch of Australia to London. Located in Shoreditch, this trendy bar and 65-seater restaurant is open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks every day of the week.
The restaurant gets its name from the flowering plant that was taken to Australia in the 1800s by an English immigrant named Jane Patterson. It has since become an iconic Australian weed, known to be a hardy plant. Due to its ability to survive tough weather conditions, it is a common food source for grazing cows in the drought months.
The Salvation Jane restaurant offers an extensive menu featuring trendy Australian dishes and international flavours. There is also a take-out counter for those wishing to enjoy food elsewhere. Don't miss the hearty breakfasts each morning, all of which are reasonably priced. The café is also a great place for evening drinks, offering a selection of cocktails including the signature 'Patterson's Curse' - another name for the Salvation Jane plant due to its reputation for killing certain livestock if they eat too much of it. Drink responsibly!
