The Montpeliano is an elegant Italian restaurant situated on Montpellier Street opposite the world famous Harrods. Established in 1974 by restaurateur Antonio Trapani, Montpeliano is an institution in Knightsbridge. Its classic and well prepared dishes are served in a sheer beautiful setting by an attentive and friendly waiting staff. No surprise that Montpeliano is a meeting point for tourists, a favourite among residents and the place to be for several celebrities.
The menu of the Montpeliano was created to meet everyone's needs and wishes. Allergy friendly dishes, as well as vegetarian and wheat/gluten free dishes are available and explicitly marked on the menu. The à la carte menu includes dishes such as home made ravioli filled with ricotta roseé, tomato and cream, monkfish tomatoes, mussels and clams sauce and filet strips stroganoff. The wine list contains more than five hundred enjoyable and interesting bins which were chosen to complement your dinner. The interior of the restaurant is sheer beautiful and delightful. Split over two levels, the Montpeliano's lower level is set under a sculptured, sliding glass roof among a garden of plants. The roof allows natural light to bathe the room as well as the starlit sky to create a perfect romantic ambience at night. The upper level is illuminated by pin spots, decorated with pictures of famous faces who have dined at the Montpeliano and pretty dressed tables with crisp white table linen. The restaurant is open daily from 12:00 - 24:00 hrs.
