The Jakarta restaurant is located on Sheaveshill Parade, Sheaveshill Avenue in the north-west of the capital. While the restaurant specialises in authentic Indonesian cuisine, the venue is decorated with traditional and beautiful art work setting the mood for a delicious Indonesian meal right from the first minute.
The dishes of the Jakarta are well-prepared and mouth-watering presented. Unsing only the best ingredients available, the extensive menu offers a variety of genuine dishes. Among favourites are the original Thai rice noodles with chicken and garnished with king prawns called pad Thai, lamb chops cooked in medium hot chilli sauce and Thai green curry cooked with chicken breast, aubergine and bamboo shoots. Traditional meals such as nasi goreng and a variety of seafood dishes are also listed on the menu. Highly recommendable are the desserts with a selection of fried banana doused with syrup and the pandan cake. The drinks menu was created to meet the guests' needs and wishes.
The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and mediates an inexplicable air of tradition, history and peace. With muted light and cosy and intimate tables, the dining room caters for a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The genuinely friendly and attentive staff is happy to assist with inquiries of any kind.
