Bunghole

The Bunghole wine bar is situated on High Holborn. The restaurant and wine bar belongs to the fabulous Davy's group in the United Kingdom serving a modern British menu. Established in 1870, each Davy's wine bar has its own distinct charm, all of them follow the same aim to provide the guests with a dining experience of the highest standard.

The menu at the Bunghole comprises seasonal dishes prepared with the finest and freshest ingredients available. The à la carte menu includes signature dishes such as spring vegetable and herb risotto, grilled sea bass fillet with herb lentils and 28-day aged charcoal grilled sirloin steak served with a grilled tomato and hand cut chipped potatoes. All meals are best topped off with one of the tasty desserts like the rich chocolate truffle or the farmhouse cheddar or mature blue stilton. The wine menu was designed to offer both complementing wines and wines that can be enjoyed on their own.

The Bunghole was named after the hole in the side of a wine cask in which the bung is put. The restaurant shows the traditional features of the Davy's restaurants including the wine cellar, sawdust covered floors and romantic candle lit tables. The attentive and friendly waiting staff provide an excellent service and helpful recommendations.
