The homepage of their website resembles an alchemist's table: a knife, a cork, a small glass pot, a crystal decanter stopper, a green snap-top purse and a plectrum with the Union Jack printed on it lie strewn about your screen in a disorderly fashion. The significance of these implements reflects the tools used in the Club itself and, what's strikingly apparent by their boastful drinks menu and confident online-voice, is the London Cocktail Club will make and shake you a drink that'll blow your mind, blow your socks off, and blow the competition out of the water.
The bar is fully-stocked with a rainbow of colour all encased in glimmering glass bottles. Order a drink and the expert cocktail-ist will spin circles, throw the shaker across the room and catch it before it falls while sliding on his knees with the gusto of a reveling rock-star. That's a slight exaggeration, but he'll certainly perform all the fancy tricks of the trade in the process and present you with an artistic and tasty beverage.
Speaking of which, highlights from the drinks menu include classics such as Mojitos, Cosmopolitans, Martinis and Long Island Iced Teas. Other more exotic options are the Zombie - a blend of rums, absinthe and bitters - and the awesomely-cool Vesper - simply gin, vodka, and vermouth.
To go with such artistic alcoholic delights (and to soak it all up to save you come sunrise) the Cocktail Club offers a selection of 'posh nibbles': deli boards; skewered meats; and Hush Puppies (smoked bacon balls, cauliflower cheese, hot crispy Brie and berry sauce, pint of chips and a Bloody Mary mayo).
