Royal Festival Hall
London
Music Venues
Located at the heart of the iconic Southbank Centre and overlooking the Thames, the Royal Festival Hall has for over 60 years provided the best in concerts, conferences, theatre, art displays, dances and other cultural events. It is one of many historical and cultural hubs found throughout London, a meeting place for those who are interested in seeing what the city has to offer.
When it comes to music, the fantastic acoustics that this concert hall possesses – boosted, no doubt, by a major refurbishment in 2007 – are world-renowned and will leave visitors in awe; it is easy to see why many relish the opportunity to showcase their talents at this grand setting. The Philharmonic Orchestra play here frequently, an experience that anyone visiting the city should see, along with many other classical acts.
Before and after an event, especially in the summer, head up to the fifth and sixth floor terraces for awesome views of the river and grab something to eat and drink from the Riverside Terrace Café, a perfect start or end to a day’s cultural adventure.
