G&T
London
For a quick stop-and-go before boarding the tube or generally delving into the rest of London's chaotic atmosphere, G&T more than fits the bill. Selling nourishing vegan goods like sandwiches, rices, cereals and teas, this little cafe in east London is a light in the dark for those looking for something new, exciting and tasty.
Saunter into the rustic farmyard-themed cafe with its wooden boxes filled with straw, displaying all they have to offer and approach the counter to make your choice off the menu. There are no tables or chairs in here, so you can't hang around. You can take away food though for about £20, and the more you take away, the more you'll yearn to come back. Try their falafel sandwich with the zingy mayonnaise to kick-start your day, or the sourdough sandwich with onion marmalade and houmous for an explosion of flavours and textures.
G&T won't burst your bank in anyway so don't be afraid to choose carefully. Prices are low, quality is high and the produce is delectable. No wonder everyone in Hackney is talking about it.
Opening Times Monday - Friday: 07:30 - 17:30,
